CALIBRATION OF PIPETTE

Calibration is used to check the exact volume of an apparatus.

APPARATUS: pipette, distilled water,beaker, weighing balance, petri dish, thermometer.

PROCEDURES OR STEPS INVOLVES

•         Measure 500ml of distilled water in a beaker.

•         Take the temperature of the Distilled water.

•         Pipette out 25ml of the Distilled water.

•         Place the petri dish on the weighing balance and zero it.

•         Put the pipettes 25ml in the petri dish and record your readings from the digital screen.

•         Repeat for ten (10) values.
